Poch is part of this noble cause and contributes with its experience for the accomplishment of this important project for children with disabilities.
Description of the Project:
The Sociedad Pro Ayuda al Niño Lisiado (SPANL), better known as Teleton, is the most important charity that has been organized in Chile in favor of children with disabilities. It includes ten rehab centers that have been designed respecting the characteristics of the area and geography of each place, maintaining the architectonic objectives.
The project considers a surface of 2,200 m2 to be constructed, with which it is expected to cover the service needs of 100 patients a day. The included dependencies of the building correspond to reception, medical attention boxes, administrative offices, gymnasium, swimming pool, bathrooms, kitchen, cafeteria and storehouses.
Our importance:
Poch develops the project coordination, in addition to Basic and Details Engineering in the civil, climate control, electrical, sanitary, security and fire protection specialties.
It advises in the design incorporating the concept of green and sustainable construction (Green Building), and in the admittance of the project to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification, dependant of the U.S. Green Building Council, aspiring to obtain a GOLD category certification.
Essential benefit:
The established transversal objective was to reach a level of energy optimization that helps minimize the maintenance annual global costs, climate control, ventilation, electricity, potable water and sanitary hot water through the available technologies, considering the characteristics and geographic zone of the project.
The new institute, located in the city of Copiapó, will cover the regional service needs of an approximate population of 260,000 residents.
