Poch demonstrates its capacity for developing works in an explosive atmosphere that requires the fulfillment of international norms.
Description of the Project:
Strategically located along the whole country of Chile, the main liquefied gas distribution companies have cylinder filling plants to satisfy their clients’ needs.
The industrial chain located in Maipú concentrates the cylinder filling plants of liquefied gas for the Metropolitan Region. The Maipú GASCO plant is one of them and throughout the years it has been necessary to extend its capacity. This, meaning the incorporation of new gas storage tanks, new pumping groups and/or new cylinder filling stations.
Our Importance:
POCH developed the electrical, control and automation detail engineering, commissioning and startup for different extension projects of this plant, where the incorporation of a fire control system and the monitoring of the new gas level storage tanks.
This project required the development of engineering under the fulfillment of international norms of work in explosive atmospheres (IEC, NEC).
Essential benefit:
Poch participated in important extension projects of this cylinder filling plant, which contributed to the safeguard of the provision of liquefied gas in Santiago, Chile.
