Poch contributes to the operation sustainability of pig farms applying cutting edge technology in the agro-industrial residue treatment.
Description of the Project:
The bidding and evaluation for this project was executed in 2005 and applied cutting edge technology available at that time. The Project allows treating the manure generated by approximately 36.000 reproductive pigs and 80.000 breeding pigs.
The functioning treatment plant includes thick solids physical separation system and a system of flotation by air dissolved for solids in suspension, to remove organic matter it has a system of muds activated through an anoxic and aerobic lagoon working with ventilation by diffusion.
The biological muds generated are settled and thickened. The obtained effluent liquid fulfills with the environmental commitments of the company and the generated solids are dehydrated and disposed in composting fields for its eventual use as fertilizer in fields.
Our importance:
The tasks done by Poch have consisted in the project administration, development of the equipment bidding, analysis and evaluation of the received proposals, automation of the process, support during the start-up and operation. Poch has been in contact with the technology supplier, has advised and collaborated in the organization and coordination of monitoring, follow-up and results analysis.
With the purpose of advising Agrícola Super Ltda. in the control and optimization of the treatment plant operation, the following activities have been carried out: analysis of treatment plant affluent, determination, characterization and follow-up of the of pig manure generation, implementation of operation registries, evaluation of chemicals consumption and associated operational cost.
Essential benefit:
The development of this project has allowed Agrícola Super to continue growing and to go beyond the fulfillment of the actual environmental legislation, giving its processes security and consistency to its activity.
