Description of the Project:
Cencosud is a company specialized in the development, commercialization and administration of big shopping centers, combining a strong sense of service with a deep respect for the internal staff and the community.
Its particular characteristics consolidate the leadership in its activity and the commitment with the future of the countries where it has settled. The Cencosud group is composed by Jumbo and Santa Isabel supermarkets, the Easy chain of stores, the Paris department stores and the Portal Shopping Centers, a part from other companies.
Santa Isabel is one of the largest supermarket chains in Chile with more than the 120 stores.
Under the modality of EPCM project, Poch was in charge of the Project Management, coordination and development of the civil structural, electrical, sanitary, HVAC, fire and pneumatic message system engineering specialties. In addition it was in charge of the procurement, site engineering, site supervision and technical inspection. At a quality management level it relied on the implementation of the IFS, BRC, HACCP and BPM certifications.
Poch, through different projects, has participated in the expansion of Cencosud in Chile as well as in the rest of South America. The integration of all the engineering services enables it to satisfy the client’s needs related to deadlines and cost estimations in a flowing and flexible manner. It also allows it to reduce the response times when facing project modifications.
