Poch designed and developed the AM006 methodology, which was approved by the Kyoto Executive Board.
Description of the Project:
The project consisted of the development of the AM006 Methodology "GHG emission reductions from manure management systems" (approved by the Kyoto executive board) for the destruction of methane originating from pig farms under the MDL (Clean Development Mechanism). The development of this methodology involved a series of tasks carried out in approximately a year. It allowed our professionals to familiarize with all the process, dynamic and administrative and technical aspects related to the development of MDL projects. The methodology was presented next to a PDD called "Methane capture and combustion of swine manure treatment for Peralillo", project in registration phase.
Our importance:
A multidisciplinary team of professionals participated in the elaboration of this methodology, achieving the approval of the Kyoto protocol executive board.
The AM0006 methodology has reached an important reputation and has positioned our consultancy a step ahead of other institutions that, subsequently in Chile, have been dedicated to similar subjects.
Essential benefit:
The application of this methodology allowed Agrosuper to reduce the Greenhouse Effect Gases, that besides generating important environmental benefits, they report financial gain allowing the financially leveling of other projects of similar characteristics.
