Poch develops engineering in stages for one of the highest food producing plants for fishes in South America.
Description of the Project:
Skretting is the leading fish food supplier in the world. It provides the latest products and services in the nutrition area to the fish farmers for the sustainable production of healthy fish. It operates companies in all five continents in order to produce and deliver the best foods starting from the reproduction to the harvest, for more than 50 species of farm fish.
Skretting was the first company in introducing diets extruded in Chile; it was also the first to offer its clients high energy diets. In addition, it has been pioneering in Chile promoting the development of vegetal alternatives as consumable for the salmon diets.
The fish food pellet plant located in Osorno is the main one of this company with four extruding lines of 13 ton per hour each.
Our importance:
The projects carried out in this plant are diverse and have been executed in stages. Poch has done the Conceptual, Basic and Details Engineering of most of the projects carried out between 1996 and 2007, of which the entire engineering for their lines 3 and 4, and the automation of the auxiliary services, and the dosage system with its four extrusion lines can be high-lighted.
In general the engineering specialties involved have been: structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation. Complementing this work, Poch has also been in charge of the projects management, main equipment purchase management, construction management, site supervision and control, commissioning and start-up of the plant.
