Poch was in charge of the entire Engineering of the plant, from the design to the delivery of the operating facility.
Description of the Project:
Los Fiordos Fishery is one of the companies with most participation in the salmon breeding market in Chile.
The Curarrehue project considers capturing natural springs that are conducted towards the Open Flow type Fish Farm. The fish breeding is carried out in the water tanks with the possibility of controlling the main parameters of the production corresponding to water temperature, water dissolved oxygen and the amount of exchanges of the system.
The production process includes the incubation, from the egg state to the smoltification, with an annual production capacity of 14 million smolts.
Our importance:
Poch developed the Engineering for the civil structural, hydraulic, electrical and instrumentation, sanitary, mechanics and piping, refrigeration, process and automation specialties; also the project management, procurement, assembly awardings, construction management, technical inspection, commissioning and start-up of each one of the systems involved.
Poch carried out the Environmental Impact Declaration (EID) for this facility.
Essential benefit:
Thanks to the coordinated planning of the construction activities, the plant began receiving eggs after 7 months since the beginning of the construction, and it was handed in 100% operational in a period of 12 months. This work allowed Los Fiordos Fishery to completely self-supply itself of smolts.
