Poch develops this Greenfield project from the conceptual design to the implementation of a plant with the latest technology for processing salmon.
Description of the Project:
Fishery Los Fiordos has the most modern plant in Chile with a potential yearly processing capacity of 114 tons of Coho Salmon, Atlantic Salmon and Trout.
This plant uses today more than 550 people and has three processing lines, each one of them to elaborate HG (gutted and beheaded salmon) and added value for fillets and portions.
The plant processes 100% of the company’s production and its market is oriented mainly to Japan, Europe and the United States. It has international certifications for exporting its products, which are commercialized under the name of Súper Salmón with sales exceeding US$ 100 M, in 2005.
Our importance:
The project was entirely carried out by Poch from its design phases to the service start-up. Poch was in charge of the project management and cosntruction management, equipment acquisition, contracts administration, technical inspection, commissioning and start-up of the facilities.
At an environmental level, Poch developed the DIA and dealt with the corresponding permissions for that area. At the quality management level, it helped in the implementation of the following certifications: IFS, BRC, HACCP, ISO9001, ISO14001, KOSHER, OHSAS, etc.
Essential benefit:
