Integral Engineering in a Greenfield project of one of the most modern salmon food plants in America.
Description of the Project:
Los Fiordos Fishery mainly exports to countries like United States and Japan. In Chile their products are commercialized under the name of “Super Salmon”.
In 2005 Los Fiordos Fishery, along with beginning the construction of the Curarrehue Fish Farm (one of the greatest Atlantic salmon fish farms in the world), it decides to initiate the production of pellet for salmon. To do so, it entrusts Poch with the entire development of the project in the EPCM modality. This way Poch helps this company in its consolidation in the fish farming field, developing these emblematic projects.
Our importance:
Poch developed the entire engineering of this plant. It was in charge of the Project Management, tender process, equipment purchase and assemblies, Site Supervision and Control, as well as the development of integral engineering in the civil structural, mechanical and piping, electrical, instrumentation and automation specialties.
In addition Poch designed and coordinated the installation of an odor treatment system and supported Los Fiordos Fishery to certify the plant under the ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001 and HACCP regulations.
Essential benefit:
The concretion of this project was approved in 2006. The plant’s processing design, prepared by a Poch multidisciplinary team of professionals, consists of two production lines, each one with a capacity of 15 Ton/h, which makes it capable of producing a total of 120,000 tons of product per year, turning Pargua Food Plant in one of the most important salmon food producers in Latin America.
