Poch develops the entire Engineering, Commissioning and start-up of a power station in medium voltage.
Description of the Project:
Elektragen is a company dedicated to energy generation. Through its three power stations PMGD (Small Generation means connected to a Medium Voltage Distribution network) it provides energy to the CIS from different locations.
Elektragen has been a pioneer in the field of energy, being one of the first companies to provide energy to the CIS with this type of power stations. The Punitaqui power station has an installed capacity of 9 MW.
The power station is formed by 5 Diesel generators that are controlled remotely via a Scada developed for this intention.
Originally, the power station was meant to operate only in extreme cases. Nevertheless, the power scarceness in Chile has led the plant to work almost permanently.
Our importance:
Poch developed the Detail Engineering for the civil, mechanical and electrical specialties. The automation, commissioning and start-up of the facilities were also carried out by Poch.
Essential benefit:
When the Punitaqui power station began operating the power supply in the CIS was low, so the power station had to operate permanently from the beginning, with the respective benefit for its owners.
