Poch develops the entire Engineering, Commissioning and start-up of a power station in medium voltage.
Description of the Project:
Elektragen is a company dedicated to energy generation. Through its three power stations PMGD (Small Generation means connected to a Medium Voltage Distribution network) it provides energy to the CIS from different locations.
Elektragen has been a pioneer in the energy field, being one of the first companies to provide energy to the CIS with this type of power stations. Its main plant is Constitución, with a settled capacity of 15 MW.
The power station is conformed by two smaller power stations: Constitución 1 and 2. The generators are of the Diesel type, remotely controlled via a Scada developed for this purpose.
Originally, the power station was meant to operate only in extreme cases. Nevertheless, the plant works almost permanently due to the power scarceness of Chile.
Our importance:
Poch developed the Detail Engineering for the civil, mechanical and electrical specialties. The automation, commissioning and start-up of the facilities also were carried out by Poch.
Essential benefit:
By the time the Constitución power station began operating, the power supply from the CIS was low, for this reason the power station had to operate permanently right from the beginning, with the respective benefit for its owners.
