Poch participates in the expansion of the largest supermarket chain in Peru.
Description of the Project:
The Cencosud group, as part of its project to expand to South American markets, by the end of 2007 closes the acquisition of the Peruvian retail chain Wong. With this, Cencosud adds to its multiple retail facilities a chain of 48 supermarkets, hipermarkets and shopping centers, with a 60% participation of the local market and a sales area over 170,000 square meters. In addition, it plans to build new facilities to cover this increasing market.
Our importance:
Poch, thanks to the experience acquired in the retail field, supports Cencosud in the development of this project taking to Peru the quality standards typical of its South American chain, in the construction as well as in the operative planning of the store. In addition bidding systems were implemented and also project control according to the clients’ demands and the project management practices of Poch.

The experience of Poch and its prestige in the retail industry pushed the Cencosud group to incorporate this consultancy in its incursion in the South American markets. This way Poch expands its presence in new markets, hiring local professionals and importing the aquired experience of over 20 years of project developments.
