The consulting services delivered in this EPCM project made this plant a benchmark for these types of facilities.
Description of the Project:
Longovilo Food Plant was built during the mid 90s with a production capacity of 25 thousand tons of pellet per month. The third and final expansion in 2004 allowed it to reach a production of 100 thousand tons per month; turning it, at that time, in one of the plants with highest food production in the world.
The permanent growth of poultry and pork meat consumption, locally as well as internationally, has allowed Agrosuper to become a regional leader in the meat foods market.
This plant, completely automated from the supply of raw materials to the delivery the product in bulk, at the present time provides more than 50% of the feeding necessities for the company’s animal breeding.
Our importance:
In all three stages of the project, Poch has developed the Conceptual, Basic and Details Engineering for each specialty, in addition to the Project Management, Construction Management, supervision and site control, commissioning and start-up.
The acquisitions management, contracts administration and the proceedings of the environmental and regional permissions have been supported on the certification of the ISO9000 and ISO14000 regulations.
The total automation of the plant and its integration with the company’s ERP systems, have brought reliability to the operation and a productivity superior than the design nominal capacities, since the beginning of their operations.
Essential benefit:
Poch has achieved significant savings in time and costs in all the stages of the project allowing Agrosuper to count on reliable Capex and precise activities planning. The delimited periods of project have made it possible to the client to make fast decisions. Poch’s experience in these types of projects has made it possible to achieve the satisfying food production from the first operation day, which in turn means important savings in time and raw material losses.
