Poch develops the Detail Engineering of the mechanical and piping specialties of the Effluents Treatment Plant and Refinery.
Description of the Project:
BENEO-Orafti is the world leader in the production of chicory based ingredients. The group has a billing of over 350 million Euros, it employs 900 workers and has production units in Belgium, Germany, Chile and Italy.
Within a wide range of products, BENEO-Orafti exports active food ingredients such as Inulin and Oligo-fructose to different clients around the world and mainly to U.S, the South American and recently Asian markets.
In order to satisfy the increasing demand of healthier nutrition, BENEO™-Group constructed the first factory to process chicory roots and to produce the natural ingredients Inulin and Oligo-fructose outside Europe. Located in a 180 hectare estate, this factory involves an investment that ascends to 165 million Euros.
The demand of nutritive and healthy products has been increasing in over 30% during the last decade.
Our importance:
Poch carried out the Detail Engineering in the mechanical and piping specialties of The Inulin Refinery Plant, the French group APPLEXIÓN being in command and responsible for the process.
The development of the engineering, which lasted 6 months, included the construction plans of all the elements, which were finally elaborated in France and installed in Chile.

The developed activities allowed the elaboration of the Detail Engineering for the inulin refinery and effluent plant’s pipe manufacturing in France.
