Poch manages the engineering and construction of one of the most emblematic educational centers of the Tenth region.
Description of the Project:
The San Francisco Javier School of the Compañía de Jesus was founded in 1859, to serve as a primary school for the children of German settlers in their first caqmps in the Reloncaví bay. This building was initially called San Jose School and in 1882 it started working as a boarding school, adopting the name with which it is known today. Up until the year 2008 it has been located in Guillermo Gallardo street, in the center of the city of Puerto Montt, in the Tenth region of Chile.
Our importance:
Poch is supporting this historical institution that has undertaken the challenge to be transferred from the heart of Puerto Montt to the area of Pelluco Alto, which will enable them to sustain its growth in more spacious and improved facilities.
Essential benefit:
Transferring or reproducing landmarks which identify the school, trying to maintain some spaces that have given it its identity for almost 150 years, like the bell tower and the image of San Francisco Javier, amongst others.
In addition, the school includes spaces of public interest, such as the church and other facilities that will be used for retreats, formation courses, and artistic, cultural and sport activities.
