Poch’s broad experience on development, Commissioning and Start-up of complex multidisciplinary projects gives the company the capabilities to develop Commissioning on facilities of diverse nature and complexity. Thanks to the partnership with the New Zealand based company Beca Internacional through the Beca Poch Consortium, we have all the necessary expertise to develop commissioning processes on high rise buildings and mega projects such as Costanera Center.
ASHRAE Guideline 0, The Commissioning Process, defines commissioning as "a quality-oriented process for achieving, verifying, and documenting that the performance of facilities, systems, and assemblies meets defined objectives and criteria". The Commissioning Process begins with the project’s origin (during the pre-design phase) and can be applied throughout complete lifecycle of the facility. The commissioning process formalizes review and integration of all project expectations during planning, design, construction, and occupancy phases by inspection and functional performance testing, and oversight of operator training and record documentation. The process focuses, during all phases, upon verifying and documenting that the facility and all of its systems and assemblies are planned, designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained to meet the Owner's Project Requirements.
The facilities commissioning is based on the ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005, the Building Commissioning Guide of the U.S. General Services Administration, and the recommendations of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), the US Green Building Council, the Building Commissioning Association, and y other relevant sources.
